Time to get serious.

I realized something today. I’m not exactly proud of this, especially as a budding photographer, but I have to come to terms with it.

OK. Here goes nothing:

For many years, I’ve been using Paint Shop Pro to edit photos, rather than Photoshop.

There. I said it. Happy now?

About a month ago, my laptop needed to be reformatted. The day I wiped that sucker clean, I swore I would start anew- in terms of keeping all my photos in tact and using better, more professional software when editing my stuff.

Enter Adobe Photoshop.

Thanks to the Journalism course at Holland College, I have a working knowledge of Photoshop. Some things are the same in Paint Shop but some things are quite different.

In this blog, I’ll show off some new things I’m working on and discuss new things I’ve learned from working with Photoshop.

But for now, you can view my general website here, my photography portfolio here, more of my photos here and my journalism blog here.

Thanks for dropping by. Feel free to email me with any questions, comments or suggestions. I’d love to hear some feedback.

Also, if anyone has any tips or knows of any sites I should check out, I’d love to hear about them.

If you have a Tumblr account and follow me, I’ll follow back… unless your account is made of crude things. Like Twilight fan art or the like.

(I just checked to see what this blog looks like with different resolutions… Not great. I’ll change the theme when I get the chance. Sorry for the ugly inconvenience.)
